Hello! I'm Honey Hartleb. I've been an ISR instructor since 2011 and grew up in South West Florida. I am aware of the dangers that living by many bodies of water posed to my family. I experienced ISR as a parent first watching as my child gained an extra layer of protection as they "graduated" from the ISR program. I was amazed that a child could learn survival skills. The skills my children learned in lessons gave them confidence in their swimming abilities and the love of the water while also having respect in and around the water. I love knowing that if they happened to find the water alone, their aquatic problem-solving skills would help save them. The education ISR provided me as a parent deepened my understanding of the water's potentially deadly consequences. Then a terrible drowning accident became very real to me as a good friend of mine experienced an incomprehensible loss of her daughter Edna Mae. That is when I knew my destiny was to become a part of the mission that not one more child drowns.
Thank you,
Honey Hartleb, ISR Certified Instructor
